Hey guys I have a 2004 lariat 4x4 and im trying to figure out what differentials I have. I know its got 3.73 gears in the rear but is the front and rear LSD or open diffs? And if I want to get lockers whats my best option?

I might be mistaken but I believe it's just the rear that is LSD. Could be wrong though

 

Not all are. My 2005 F150 Lariat doesn't have LS. I bought Detroit Tru Trac Diffs to put in. Waiting to install! Digging up what research I found you can look at auburn for the front only for electronic selectable or go Detroit tru trac that are LS for front and or rear.

Yes sir. And I don't got LS in my vehicle.

I guess in your door sticker your axle code will say if you do or not... Idk what the number is. Or I was told look at your rear diff. There are tags on it, and it should have a L on it? (I believe)

 

Oh well then guess I'm wrong. I thought all the 3.73's were LS. If you've got the original window sticker it would show there too. There's the vin decoder on here that would tell you I believe

 

I'm about to go wash my vehicle ill try the decoder. But from what I've been told via the axle code, diff number, I don't got LS.

Just look at the axle code in the drivers side door jamb...should be a sticker there with the info... most 5.4L 4X4's came with 3:73 LSD
