Default leveling kits

i want to get a leveling kit for my truck, but dont really know what kind to get. i was thinking 2 inch or 2 1/2? i have a 08 stx extended cab. your comments would help.

I have a 2.5 leveling kit made by hell bent steel or HBS. i got mine off of ebay for bout 70 bucks i think. i run 35x1250 tires and dont rub hardly at all.

Just know that depending on the load, after you have "leveled" it will drop the rear lower than the front, some who have carried somewhat heavy loads have described it as looking like the back of the truck was going to fall off.

2 1/2" really looks good though

So if you do lift the front think about how it might effect the looks of the truck when loaded down (if you load it down)

When I need tires I am going to go with 1 1/2" autospring just to keep a little of the factory "rake".

1 more question I don't know whether to get a 2" or a 2.5? i hear a higher lift will put more stress on your truck?

Any altering of your suspension is going to put some sort of stress on something in the leveling kit area it puts undo stress to your upper ball joint I run a 2" leveling kit but I also know eventually I'm going to have to replace my ball joints

good info, but i was thinking a with a 2.5 leveling kit 1/2 a inch can't put that much more stress on the joints right?

its all about the angles, higher you go the more of angle your on the ball joint
