BJ, It sounds as if you may be considering some shocks or struts. I needed a leveling kit for mine and needed to replace the shocks/struts. I went with the Rancho Quick Lift. I now have new Rancho RS9000XL's and the leveling of the quick lift. The 9000XL's have the 9 Position tuning technology to allow me to control the ride (more travel or less travel). I was also able to install my 35" tires. The pic is in my driveway on an incline. I will try and get some better pics tonight and add them to my profile.

so it is possible to get bigger/better struts instead of just adding a spacer? I will tow with this so tweeking the factory suspension scares me alittle since I don't know how it will effect towing

I am having trouble finding sources that list replacement parts that are not exact replacement for stock.

Both Rancho (quicklift) and Bilstein (5100) make front shocks with adjustable height which can level your truck.

They do perform basically the same suspension change as adding the spacer does though, they effectively lengthen the coil over assembly.

That is what I was wondering. Level plus strength.

what brand would you recommend for the 2.5" leveling kit,

daystar, hell bent steel or top gun customz?

all seem the same price.

I would recommend the "Ready Lift" leveling kit. It's made of dicast metal as opposed to the plastic Daystar kits.

I put a 2.5" kit on my 05 scab and now the front end sits higher than the back. Im going to put a 3" block in the back to fix the problem.

I put a 3" HBS leveling kit on my 06 4x4, and the front still sits slightly lower. Great kit with no problems in 3 years. By the way , pawpaw, where did you get the skid plate?

I added the HBS 2.5" leveling kit in the front and installed an add-a-leaf in the rear so the back end was a little higher and it added a little more to my payload.

Its all personal opinion as it is with everything on here. Just go with what you think would look good or be best for your ride.
