Default leveling kits

Hey guys I have a 98 f150 and I bought a 2.5 rough country lift for it. It came with new keys which put my arms at a bad angle that I do not like. however I may be buying a 05 longbed and was wondering how to level it out. It has a bad factory rake so I'm only worried about lifting the front. I know these trucks don't have torsion keys so how do you lift the front of these trucks and how do you get around putting the arms on an angle?

The 2004+ use coils up front, no torsion bars on them like your 98. In order to level it you buy a leveling kit which goes ontop of the coil and then bolts back onto the truck.

04-05 needs a 2.5" kit to be level (2" for 06-08), I have a 2.5, of course the control arm is altered slightly but nothing to worry about.

I did ground force drop shackles to level mine out:p Next up take out rear blocks and drop the front 2". This should improve the handling as well as gimme more clearance to get into my garage.

Awesome. I know on my 98 it killed them to the point where I'm on my third axle on the left side. Thank God for lifetime parts

well when you assemble them you either put them on the lift setting or stock ride height. and i went with the lifted setting. also i put new coil springs on there, and new wheels and tires, so all in all i think i got 3 in out of it.

old set up.

new setup.

when we took the struts apart we could compress the shock with our hands, so it was plum wore out, and i have been driving with just the coil spring for about 2 years now. now i have a nice smooth ride.
