Default leveling kit problems!! Help!!

Ok so I recently installed a rough country 2.5 leveling kit. A few days later I started hearing a rattling sound kind of like pennies in can. I have noticed now that the upper ball joint is rubbing the spring. More on the left than the right. The noise has stopped, but just cant figure out why its rubbing. Any help here? Is this dangerous to drive on?

I have 2.5 spacers and I have not any weird sound or balljoint rubbing against the coils, obviously you have a problem on a balljoint, bushings, or you left something loose down there... check with a mechanic asap!!

Most leveling kits will cause the Upper control arm to contact the spring when there is little or no weight on the tire but sitting on the ground it should not touch. Rattles are not normal and should be checked out as loose suspension components can be dangerous, also an alignment is a necessity after any major tweaking of the suspension. I have heard of the rubber spring pad coming out of the strut and causing some interesting sounds.

Ive had it aligned and ive checked and re-tightened everything that i touched. I have 33in tires and rims with a pretty good offset. Would that be a possibility of the cause of this issue? Also, Ive seen with some kits that the spacers are specified for driver and passenger sides. Mine were not labeled and it didnt say anything in the instructions that they were. Is there a chance that they are and they are on the wrong sides?

Just talked to a guy at rough country and he said the spacers will fit bout sides. He also said that he has never heard of this problem with the kit and that this would not be due to the level. I mentioned that it didnt start until i had it alined and he said that the shop may have done a bad alinement on it. The tires are coupled up on the inside as well. Could this be the answer or was he blowing me off?

how many miles your truck has?... you might have some problem in your suspension and the spacers just made it worse... like I said check your suspension with someone experienced on this asap.

WOW! Sorry to here that. I also have a Rough Country 2.5 level but had NO problems. I didn't get an alinement for like two and a half months later. Sounds like a suspension issue to me. Good luck and let us know what happens.
