Default Leveling Kit Issues

Hello all,

I have a 208 F-150 FX$ Crew Cab w/ the OTW 18 inch stock tires and wheels (for now). I am new here and I have a question. What type, size, etc, leveling kits do you all recommend? Someone in a previous thread mentioned camber bolts as well?? Need some real info. Thanks!!

Welcome to the site rule of thumb don't go above a 2.5" leveling kit unless you want to do some front end work. 2" kit will allow clearance for a 33" tire,if your planning on putting on brush guard or any kind of weight up front or want to go with a 35" tire go with a 2.5", if you stick with these 2 kits all they are is a spacer no other front end work required except an alignment. I went with a 2" auto spring kit $79.00 I'm real happy with it.

I had a 2.5" Autospring kit on my truck prior to going with a 6" Fabtech suspension lift. squirrelyyy said it all, no more than a 2.5" kit and since you're a 4WD you'll be able to add up to 35" tires.

ya don't go 3", I did w/ my truck now the fronts higher than the rear lmao so now I am lookin to add a 1 to 1.5 inch in the back, plus with a 3" your upper control arms are at a really bad angle

Did you have a problem with the front tires chopping when you added the 3 inch spacer

Soooo....I had the Leveling Kit and some black powder coated step bars installed yesterday at the dealership as part of the deal on the truck and they claimed that it was 2.5" with an effective 3" lift and not to worry?? WTF??? What does that mean?? I dont want there to be an issue with the front end when I finally get to get DIRTY..know what I mean.

Thank you all for your input.
