Leveling Kit Help!
My post was intended to give the reason why someone would want to put a block in the back when installing a leveling kit as bigun72 asked in post 11, and I specifically mentioned that I didn't like how the leveled trucks looked when loaded. Really I say to each his own, didn't mean to get all your panties in a wad. The 2.5 level and 3" block takes about an inch out of the factory rake anyways. On my truck, just doing the front 2.5" left my truck nose high, and I don't live in California so that's definitely a no go. The benefits to a suspension lift kit (which a "leveling kit" is) are two fold, more room for bigger tires (greater axle ground clearance) and better ground clearance for the frame/low hanging components. I drive around construction site fairly often for work, and an additional couple inches of ground clearance at the t-case occasionally determines whether or not I drag the skid plate across concrete, and the rear block contributes to that extra ground clearance..

Stupid looking stock rake.
After a 2 1/2" Daystar kit and 35's. Kit's been in 5 year's with no problems.
