I think readylift is different from most leveling kits...I think, i could be wrong. they are more expensive but supply some sort of extensions for the front so that nothing on the truck gets hurt at max flex. (but since you are 2wd, i doubt you will ever have that problem)

I just purchased a 2.5 level kit and am hoping it gets here tomorrow so that i can throw it on this weeked. Ill post pics later if you are interested. Just shop around, many companies make a level kit that does the front spacer and the add a leaf.

I had the autospring 2.5" kit on my truck prior to lifting it and it did everything I needed it to do. With a leveling kit you can throw a set of 33's on your 2WD and it'll look awesome. Is that the plan?

I doubt you'll have any problems with a 3" kit in a 2wd. You don't have c.v. joints. You should be fine

yes i will be throwing some 33 on keeping the stock 18's though. I will will probably be getting the Nitto AT's i had an 2005 screw leveled with 33 bfg ko and those r by far my favorite tire but i dont want to spend that much money right now so either procomp Xtreme AT or Nitto AT, i have heard the procomps r slippery on wet asfault though

i dont believe that the pro comp tires are half of what the bfg's are, if im right, which i think i am, the sidewall is thinner on pro comps and it is just not near the tire in my opinion, but i guess u get what u pay for

Opinions are like...........

I had Pro Comp Xtreme AT's on my truck for 13k miles before they were stolen and they looked practically brand new, they would have easily lasted me another 30k-40k miles. To me the BFG's don't look anywhere near as good as the Pro Comp, they look more like a regular street tire. I know they are a good tire and get great reviews, but the way a 2WD truck is going to be used probably doesn't have to worry about sidewall blowout.

very true, bfg is a off road tire, thats why they are baja champions, im not always worried bout look with the tires if they do what i want, but like u said 2wd sidewall is prob not a issue, and i do like the look of the nitto's or even the baja AT, theyre nice

I have an '05 model F150 4x4 and I put a rough country 2.5" leveling kit on it which worked beautifully, just make sure that anything over 2.5" either comes with the alignment extensions or you can get them in a package because that will be your only issue, that the alignment shop cannot properly align your front end after the install....of course you can probably by an extension kit from the alignment shop but there is no telling how much that might cost you.
