Default Leveling ?

Do I need to replace struts or shocks when installing a 2.5" skyjacker leveling kit? Found one for sale local and just wanna make sure I don't need anything extra before I buy them..

How many miles are on it? Do you notice any sagging in the front end? Even if they have sagged a little over time, replacing them both wont lift it but maybe an inch. It would tho improve ride n handling. But if your mainly after the leveled look then go with the HBS Leveling kit. Or pull off the strut assembly and replace the shock with a Bilstein Lift Shocks. Thats a more pricey way but very effective and improves handling.

No you do not need to replace them. It installs right on top. I work at a ford shop and did it right after work in just under 2 hours. So fairly easy and fast install. Make sure when you tighten the spacer to the strut to loctite the nuts. I have seen these installed and not properly tightened so this will help ensure they're good to go. My 315/70/17 clear great (34.8x12.34) or something like that. Only rub my molded mud flap at certain angles in reverse only. I reccomend ready lift products.

Ok so shocks struts dont HAVE TO be replaced. The truck has 120k on it but the suspension is stiff. I think it was replaced sometime before I bought it.

What about alignment? Will a 2.5" level throw off alignment enough to need it redone?

For tire and front end wear...always align after changing anything on the front end...I always align right before new tires as well regardless if I changed anything or not

My truck had 105k when I put the level on, no new shocks or struts (yet). You need an alignment because you took apart the front suspension to install the level.
