Bilsten 5100 shocks instead of strut AND level kit (spacer)?
More expensive, but the way to go if you don't need new springs.

How did I fail, leveling kits do not void your warranty.

Depends man, if you encounter a suspension problem, Ford can (and most likely will) put the blame on your leveling kit.

All my local dealers refuse to install or sell leveling kits.

They change the cv axle angle...any mod to the suspension is cause for a voided warranty.
Some dealers may choose to cover installed mods if they do it...some will not.

I too am wanting to install a leveling kit on my F150. But have some concerns about stress on CV joints. Have you guys had any problems?

Just stay away from the 3" is what you will hear...I have 2.5 for 40K miles and no problems so far... I take a good look at all the components every 5K when I rotate my tires.

2.5" here also with no problems, surprisingly because I did the install after doing my first ever oil change haha, took me 4 hours but should only take about 2 if your more mechanically inclined.
