Default LED Tailight Hyperflash

I need some help finding what size of resistors i need for my tailights. I know that they need to be 55 watt, but I do not know how many ohm to buy.

Thanks

You can also go to your local parts store and buy a new flasher that works with led's so you don't have to splice into your wires.

I was wondering why everyone was dealing with resistors. I know on my ranger, it was a ep27 flasher for leds that did the trick. It was up under the panel under the steering wheel.

Correct^^

Ep27 relay will take care of the hyper flash on 04-08 f150's. the flasher relay is located under the steering column. Turn your hazards on, lay on your back and stick your head under there. It's a black box with a blue base

If you search for my "LED Flasher Upgrade" thread you'll see where the new TMI flasher goes. It takes 5 minutes.

Also, that is only if you run LEDs with lower wattage. I originally ran 7.5W Cree 3157s, then I went to 20W Cree 3157s and now I'm running 50W Cree 3157s. I remove my TMI flasher and the flash rate is back to normal. Keep in mind any Cree LEDs that are 30W or more is probably too bright on stock tail lights.

So If I change to 30w Cree Led on my 11. I have to change the flasher yes or no. I'm a little confused.

Nick just actually had me go get one of these. It's easiest to get to on our trucks if you take the panel off on the driver side of the dash instead of getting underneath it, although I'm sure that's personal preference.

The EP27 unit I bought says it will handle up to 6 LEDs being on the flasher circuit, although I'm pretty sure we only have 4, so you should be golden!

I paid $17 with tax at AutoZone for mine.
