Default KYB Shocks

Just had 4 new shocks put on my 2004 F-150 4x4. They installed KYB Excel-G shocks, which I understand is the equivalent of the GR-2's. Cost me $910 when all was said and done. Did I get ripped off? I kinda feel like I did.

I really hope your kidding.

rockauto sells the rears for about $45 a piece and fronts for about $85 a piece.

Total = $260.

Did you also add a lift of some sort to drive that cost up? You did say "said and done" and it's in poor form to tease us by not mentioning what else you may have had done

Didn't have anything else done except a front end alignment. That's why im saying I feel like I got ripped off. Seems like the labor cost is a little outrageous to me.

the rear shocks are a 10-15 min job, per side.

front is a little different.

remove strut, spring compressor to remove shock and the repeat in reverse order.

maybe 45min-1hr per side on the front.

Ouch! That is a bit high for shocks. Do you at least like the new ride on them? Not trying to be sarcastic, just want to know.
