Default Kicker Subs?

I am interested in getting some kicker subs but am having trouble deciding exactly what I want... One of my buddies has two kicker 10"s in his truck which is too much for me- so I want something a little less than that. This leads to my question: two 8"s or one 10"? Which do you think would sound better, and if you have any other suggestions or pictures I would appreciate it! (its a 2008 crew cab)

2 8's have more cone surface than 1 10 ,but you will loose some of the lows. I have 1 10" kicker comp in my sc and its not enough. I have 1 10" square kicker solobaric l7 with a 800 watt monoblock amp In my ranger. It hits hard. I am going to change out my 10 in my 50 and do 4-8's. I say do more than 1 10 or 2 8's.

I have one L7 10" solo powered by a kicker 700.5amp that runs my mids and highs also. Amesome setup, very happy with what I got.

Look at something other than Kicker and the mainstream garbage. They have poor build quality and some of the worst distortion performance I've seen.

I have 2 kicker c10s in a box that fits under the back seat with the carpet to match. There great not too much but not too little. If it ever gets to be too much all you have to do is turn the amp down
