I have:
(1) JL Audio W1 10" in a Atrend custom Ford ported enclosure
(1) 300 watt Rockford Fosgate Prime series mono amp.
(1) Pioneer AVH-P2300DVD Head unit
(4) 6"x8" Kicker KS68 speakers in the doors.
A $1800 system.
Sounds Incredible.
All ranges are crisp throughout all volume levels.
Kicker is a skidmark on the Audio section's underpants compared to JL Audio.
Spend a few more bucks and get a high quality sub.

I run an L7 10 in my car in a ported box which is just right. I have done each size of the L7 from 8" to 15" in sealed and ported box. The solo x was fun as well. It is apparently a $120 ticket here for noise ordinance
I would suggest the L7 10 or a CVR 12. The CVR likes larger boxes though...for small box, the L7 is a flexable driver in terms of box requirements. I have used the shallow mount CVR's as well which work good in tight spots, I used a single one in a ported box in my s10 that was alright.
