Default Keyless entry code

Keyless entry code
I own a 2004 F150 Lariat that has a keyless entry code near the door handle. The dealership gave me the entry code assigned to this vehicle when I purchased the truck about 8 months ago.
The combination I was given from the dealership was incorrect. However, when I press the 7/8 & 9/0 simultaneously the doors lock proving the keypad electronics are working just fine.
Question: is there a location on the truck somewhere that will display what my keyless entry number is? If not, is there somewhere I can take this to have it scanned to tell me what the code is?

The dealership wants $50 to find my code number.

Any help on this subject would be appreciated.
Thanks,
AC

I have the same problem, and from what I read yesterday the code is located on the keyless entry module behind the back seat. You have to remove the seat to get to it. Do a search on it and you'll see what I mean.

I wouldn't even go through the hassle of driving it up there and waiting, or dropping it off. You can do it yourself in less than 15 minutes. I just got mine on saturday, it was really simple to do yourself.

I gotta go back anyhow. I have to drop off the dealer tag they left on the truck when we bought it. Plus I don't have the T50 socket to take off the back seat.

all you need to remove is the seat back, not the bottom portion. if you remove the bracket for the driver side rear seatbelt, you can then remove the back rest fairly easily with a screwdriver. do a quick search, and you will find the exact steps.
