Justifying e-fans
other than hotair, has anyone had any experience towning with their e-fans?
hotair- wow, that makes me nervous, as i tow our race trailer every weekend(5300lbs) about 130miles total from April to September. i take it easy only going 55mph but it still makes me nervous that it could overheat at all. and i dont want to be changing fuses out every 60 miles either.
Bucko - i like the idea of the fan having the stock shroud on it and not having to trim the fan any.

I tow and race with mine. No issues. I have the motorcraft fans for the 2010 & up f150's and the dc controller. I tow a max of 5500 lbs (my dual axle enclosed trailer) and im making 600hp. The motorcraft fans rock and only drawl 15amps. No offense to anyone but theres just no way id stick a set of junkyard fans in. The motorcraft setup was $160. Dc controller was $145.

No need to run a "junkyard fan" although my used Mark VIII 2 speed fan is still running strong after one year now. You can buy a brand new replacement 2 speed Mark VIII fan for $90.00, still much less than what most are paying for dual speed fans. And my DC Controller was $75.00
If I had not gone this route, I certainly would have gone the route you took with the Motorcraft stuff (which is what the Mark VIII fan is; off of the Lincoln's). They would be better than the aftermarket stuff.
