not sure exactly how long my power wire was but we basically have the same setup. my amp is under my little seat too, you have to remove the jack and you can ground the amp right where you unbolt the jack from with the same bolt. if you buy one of those amp kits wiring kits that should be plenty of length though.

are you using your factory head unit?

No, i have a flip out dvd player.. so i suppose i have to fish that sucker along with my power wire, and probably just use zip ties to keep them together, and maybe through them in some wiremold.

So i'll have an 8 gauge power wire, remote wire and two audio plugs to fish in the some wiremold. I have heard of people removing the back seat and placing the amp there. I'd really like to keep my jack there.

Here's a tip to make your life a lot easier.

The rubber gromet in the firewall the previous poster mentioned, you can easily pop it out if you push from inside the cab on it. It's about 3" in diameter, you can't miss it. Removing the gromet completely rather than trying to feed wire through a hole you make in it is much easier. After you run the wire through the hole, drill a hole in the gromet, run the wire through it, and you can reinstall it from the cab. I literally just did this this weekend. Click the link to my build progress in a few minutes, I'll be updating with a LOT of pics.

Good advice.. i'll check out your post. I'll be doing this tomorrow or maybe tuesday depending on when UPS shows up with the equipment.

i almost want to say that i went throught a different hole, its hard to say but looking at tunas pic i think i came through alot higher in the firewall. I had to basically lay down by the petals and look up almost behind the dash. it was right where the carpet started. i just taped a piece of wire coat hanger to the end of my power wire and poked it through. either way would work fine.

I think he may be using the same one. The camera angle looks a little funky, but it is definitely higher up above the pedals. I've used grommets before to fish power wiring into cabs, and i've always had to struggle to use the same hole but once it is through, easy going and nice snug fit.
