Default Just bought a edge evo

Hey gents so I bought a used edge evo tuner off eBay. Any tips you can give me for when it gets here. I have zero experience with tuners and I'm really not trying to mess up my computer. It seems pretty straightforward but then again so does changing spark plugs.

It's supposedly unmarried and ready to use, came with the the dash pod, the usb and obII connector, the box, the manual. No way to tell if it's actually unmarried until it gets here though. Fingers crossed

I will more than likely do that in the future after I get comfortable using it. I was looking for tips right when I get it, when I'm about to hook it up to my truck for the first time. I'm really only using it for the transmission. Mines on its 2nd rebuild.

I'd plug it in, make sure it's not locked to another truck. If it's not, then I'd upgrade it to a Gryphon, then hook it up and set it to Level 2 tune, make any changes you need for tire size, verify it has the right info for your gearing and then do the update. Not much to it.

If you update it then it gets rid of the lock?

Plug it in to your computer first and foremost. I needs the most recent update from Edge before doing anything through PHP (converting it to a Gryphon). Go to Edge's website and download the Fusion software before you even get the programmer. Then open Fusion when the tuner gets to you and update it.
