Default IWE system

while troublshooting my system , 05 fx4 5.4
i have 2 IWE solenoids mounted on fire wall behind battery they are side by side and have a hood over them, but one is not hooked up, there is no extra hoses or plugs for it, whats it for?

u should only have one does one have two vacuum lines and an electrical line going into it

ok well u only need one for the system to operate do they both have a little hood over them or only one

one hood, both are inside , all looks factory but one is not hooked up

that's a different set up from what I've seen but I wouldnt worry about it what problem r u having with the system

the rattling under power, engage 4wd and noise goes away, going to check for vaccume leaks in the morning , and try switching to the "spare" solenoid

Yeah might have been a wrong part number for an older truck but still works okay on our trucks. just a guess.
