Do you have the unlimited data plan? I have the same issue with AT&T regarding hot spots? Since the ipad mini will be coming down in price eventually, I was considering buying one and doing a retrofit. Even for the current price, the ipad mini is a better value then all the other in dash head units on the market.

The factory radio stays in the dash cavity. A taped up the cables to the gateway (they give you like 6 feet), stashed the airbag light, and organized the harnesses.
As you can see, you can barely see the white lightning cable when the console is re-installed.
So, it's not necessarily complete or permanent. I wanted it in there, and wasn't sure if I would like it and/or it would do everything I wanted it to, but I'm very happy with it. It didn't require any custom fabricating or fiberglass work, didn't cost hardly anything, and does everything I want or need it to.

What exactly do u mean by sanding the bezel? Do you have any pictures of this? Thanks for any help
