I have an 08 XLT Supercrew which came with an overhead storage for glases. This is mounted on two silver rails which run along the entire length of my ceiling. I am wondering if there are any other applications for this? It seems as if I wanted to slide the glasses compartement back and forth, I would be able to if i chose to.

I just want t know where I can find the other items that can fit.

With the Rail System, you can add on additional storage bins, and I think the Rear DVD system at the end of it as well, but dont quote me on that one. Not sure where you can find the other bins (tascaparts.com maybe?)

Thanks for the link. I checked it out and all they have is the same bin that came with the truck without any other options and they were over $300 a piece. not worth it in my opinon. I wished there was a truck with a moon roof when i was shopping for one. It was end of the yr and looking for an 08 when the 09's were getting on the lot and all the loaded ones were sold Oh well, still like my truck

 

You can get the stealership to install the Factory Moonroof for just over $1k (atleast thats what I was quoted by my local).

 

Check Ebay motors; I've seen the rail "pieces" come up for sale from time to time.

Also start pounding the local junkyards. Our trucks are at the age where they will begin to get common in the salvage yards.

 

I don't think the rail system changed. If you look at 2006, there were like four different bins, starting at $10 a piece.

 

I have used a company called Brandmotion to purchase several items for my 04. I know they carry several modules for the rail system that may be what you are looking for. They have one for an Ipod dock, hands free phone etc..
