Default installing muffler on 2007 fx2 sport

Hey guys, new to this thread and I like it by the looks of it. But anyways I've got a question for you guys with exhaust experience. I'm replacing the muffler on my truck, but I was wondering if I could just clamp it on instead of welding it like the oem muffler that is on there. All feedback is welcome and appreciated. Thanks

You definitely can.

Yup you can, just make sure it's clamped down tight enough but not too tight or you'll risk leaks.

What if it is offset on both sides? Would it still work?

Take the new muffler, hold it up, see if it'll line up. If it does, sure! If not, either get a different one or find a way / pipe to make it work.

As Martian posted the pics above I did the exact same install as TOPGLOCK. It worked perfect and I think the entire installation took me 30 minutes. It did take me some additional time to add a hanger to the new muffler using one of the exhaust clamps.

Do you know what parts I'll need, I know I'll need the clamps but could I use a dyno max hangar on the inlet of the muffler to hang it?
