Default Just ordered a 5 Star Tune

Already have Livewire TS so I just went ahead and ordered a custom 87 perf/tow tune. I tow a utility trailer with my UTV a lot so I'm hoping it will make at least a small improvement. I'll let you know what I think.

Well almost a month later I finally got my Livewire working. I had to send it back to SCT twice. I just got my 87 perf/tow tune loaded and I'm going to go for a drive later today. I'll let you know what I think.

Put a few miles on today. Nothing drastic but definitely improved drive ability. Shifting is really crisp. I'll get to pull my trailer on Monday so I'll know more then.

Wow, I would have thought you would be more impressed with it than that.

NA tunes for the 5.4 aren't really exciting. The biggest things you'll notice is shifting and improved throttle response. Depending on the terrain you are towing in you could look at shift points. The stock drive by wire is what I'd call dead

Throw a blower on it

I know. I'm a conservative driver anyway so maybe if I drove aggressively and really got on it I would notice a bigger difference. I'm mainly hoping it helps when towing. Maybe I'll see an improvement in highway MPGs??? Don't get me wrong I like the tune even if it just helps with shifting.

I'd love a blower!!! Or turbo??? What's the best type for towing? I've been running diesels forever so I'm not up to speed on FI on these trucks. I had a procharger on a mustang years ago and it didn't make boost until high rpms. Wouldn't be helpful when towing.

My gryphon snaps me back in the seat, made my truck very fun to drive. I plan on SCT for my next tuning device.

The roots style super chargers for these trucks. Like the whipple 2.3 basically adds power throughout the power curve. I'm personally planning on adding a supercharger down the road. For the added torque when towing
