Default I need advice

Looking at a beautiful 2006 F150 XL truck that im thinking about buying, the only problem is it never had factory air installed, how much would it cost me to install air.

A LOT probs around at lease $500 you have to get different belt, switchs for you heat/ ac radiator, hoses, etc

Probably a heck of alot more. You need a a/c compressor, evaporator, condensor all the wiring. IMO would not be worth the cost.

It cost $1400 to repair ac on one of our trucks can't imagine having to purchase it all.

Do XL's come with air? I would suggest looking into one. If not, XLT?

who in their right mind would buy/order a vehicle with no air? lol and on a 06? last vehicle i had without air was my 78 f100, but at least i had the vent windows i could flip around so it wasnt that bad while driving lol


and yes, very expensive. dont bother with it and find a different truck to buy. by the time u finish forking out the moola to get it installed, you could of had a fully loaded fx4 a year or 2 newer.

You would be into the 3 to 4 thousand dollar range easy.. bu the time you got the compressor, condenser, lines,dryer,module,hvac control as well as a new hvac box and evaporator. It wouldn't even be worth it
