Default Hypertech

I have one and think it does make a difference. I tried it with and without and can tell the difference.

I like mine. I got it for 75$ so I figured i'd give it a try. I changed my shift points and firmness, noticed a difference but doesn't help with mpg at all.

After doing a lot of research from this board, I went with an Edge as I'm not planning an extreme amount of mods right now, but, for a little more I can make mine a Gryphon if I need to in the future. It took about 3 months before Craigslist came through, but, I only paid $150. I really can't believe it's the same truck. The addition of a tranny temp gauge and code reader mounted to the dash were the ultimate selling points. I've been running mine on #2 with 91 octane (no ethanol) and seeing about 18 mpg driving conservatively where-as I had 15/16 before I installed the Edge Evo and used 87 octane (10% ethanol). It made a huge difference in throttle response, shifting, and towing power. I would imagine any programmer would give you more performance, but, make sure you're buying something that fills all of your wants and needs as sometimes cheap isn't always best. If I had all of the money I wasted buying products that didn't quite do everything the more expensive (and one I ultimately replaced the original with) I'd have two trucks right now.

Food for thought.
