well it's most likely just bolted on, several companies make bolt on front recievers for most trucks. I have one on my '03 and love it, why do you want to remove yours? It can be used as a recovery point, it can help you get a trailer into a tight spot, you can use a multi-mount winch, put any 2" hitch reciver accessory in it, the list of possibilities is endless. And better yet, someone else paid for it and its already installed!! if you want to conceal it a little more you can get a black rubber plug cheap at wal-mart, or maybe get yourself a bulls hitch cover plate??

It's your truck obviously, but I agree, that's never a bad thing to have, especially since you didn't have to pay for and install it! The minute you take it out and sell it, suddenly you'll have a use for it.

That was my immediate thought, some cool hitch cover would dress it up nicely. There are a bunch of Ford ones here, I was thinking about the silver with black letters for my truck. This is the main page for the receiver covers, tons of different stuff there.

You're selling your truck a part at a time...LOL

You've got a nice looking truck there, I'm just curious, with all the trucks out there on the market, why did you buy one that had a bunch of stuff that you don't like?
