Default How to paint emblems.

I'm detailing my truck today, and I got decided it's a good day to paint my emblems, obviously I need to pop them off, but other than that, how do you go about it..... I'm going to paint them all black, probably flat black.

I did mine all black. Cleaned em off with whatever then alcohol before the painting.
I used Krylon Fusion and a clear coat. I did a lot of coats though.

theyre just held on with 3M tape. of you can get a screwdriver behind it, just pry them off. be careful not to scratch your paint though

I didn't take them off when I painted mine. Just use painters tape and tape all around it, cut a hole inside a shoe box a little bigger than the emblems and go to town. Turned out great and I never had to remove any of them to do it. Taking them all off takes up too much time in my opinion

If you want to remove them, use dental floss to get behind the emblems. Should come right off.

You need to get something to spray on to the chome to make the paint stick! Go to an automotive paint store and tell them what you got and what you want to do and they will hook you up the right way!

Would that be the same stuff as a plastic bond type system?

I just flat blacked mine. Taped them off and roughed them up a bit with some wetsanding and cleaned with alcohol wipe. then threw on 4 coats of black wheel paint. Kinda dirty pic.
