Everyone has their hobby to spend money on. I bought my truck with the accessories I wanted- Leer bed cover, mud flaps, step rails, so I haven't had to buy them. I do, though, have a horse, and a 4 year old son. If THAT doesn't leave you broke(kid, gas, horse) then you are rich!

I started young and add stuff little at a time, I financed the truck for 5 years that way the payments are low enough to do what I want with it. Also being single is helpful but the college part is kind of a setback atleast for the next 2 years

I feel you man lol, I saved up 4500k for down payment...got a cheap xl for 8400 out the door...payment, gas, and insurance are fine but after all my other life bills I'm pretty broke, and I don't like to use my credit, so I just grab mods slowly. I will be putting new tires on my Citi card here shortly though. Check Craigslist a lot I got my dick Cepek rims and STT tires for $300! Just take it slow.

I need my truck for work and I can only afford one vehicle, so it might as well be decent. What I can't afford is missing work because my truck won't start, so its worth driving a newer vehicle. My customers pay my gas, if they don't like it they can hire someone else.

I recommend exactly the opposite. We paid off all of our debts and bought the truck with cash. So when a pay check comes in I don't have to send it all back out in the mail and can afford to have some fun. If I don't have the cash I don't do the mod.

My old man had a quote: if you can't pay cash you can't afford it. The visa stays in my pocket more if I remind myself of that.

Craigslist is a poor mans best friend. All my mods are on a high-school minimum wage budget. Witch that includes payment, insurance, gas and mods
