Default High Idle Issues

Hi guys, I have a 2004 f-150 4x4 with a 4.6l.
In the morning or when the truck has sit all day, I fire it up and it jumps up to almost 2000rpm and then after abit it will go down to 900 to 1000. I seems abit high from when the truck was new...any Ideas??

Craig

Remove and clean your throttle body and Maf sensor with the correct cleaners. Go from there.

I guess its called a spacer. Its the piece that the TB and the egr valve bolts to.
I replaced the egr valve and cleaned the tb and spacer. Cleaned both of them.

I have the same issue. I actually posted this awhile back and someone told me its normal to apike to 2000 then slowly come down. Its to heat the cat up. Whether that or true or not, mine continues to do it. If its a problem I would love to know what I can do to rectify the problem.
