Default HID's

Hey guys about a year ago my wife bought me some cheap ebay headlights and fog lights and they were fine and all except they were blue in color and like most headlights like that visibility was not as good. Recently the high beams on both bulbs went out. My question is well I guess I just want to here some opinions about HID kits. I had an HID kit on a 2001 focus and some said it was too bright and others were fine with it. What do you guys think about an HID Kit on my 06 4x4. Will it blind people or what. I love the light that an HID kit emits but I don't wanna blind people since I would be running the kit with stock headlights. Thanks guys

Theyll be fine. Like you said some people might flash you the brights because they dont know any better. I have 6000k in my heads and fogs. And my truck is sittin on 38s but I adjusted the beam down a good bit. Makes a big difference. People Im behind sitting at redlights with out tint are usually not too happy... Oh well!! There are people runnin HIDs on trucks everywhere now. They dont stand out as bad as they use to.

Keep it at 6000k or less and you should be fine, you may have to reaim the housing, but it's not to bad.

I have 8000k in my heads, and 6000k in my fogs... I absolutely love them! The 8000k has a slight blue tint, but are still twice as bright as stock halogens. HIDs FTW!

do it, screw the people that flash you. As long as your lights are aimed right they shouldn't be unless they are stupid enough to look right at them. With my 55w kit a don't get flashed that often, but when they do i just switch to my highs (also 55w hid, they are bi-xenon kit) and they quit flashing pretty damn quick when they can't see at all.

LOL thats great I like how you guys think. Yea I was def looking into the Bi-Xenon kits and I just wasn't sure how bad it made it for whatever was in front of me but lets face it I like to see at night sooo. I guess the next question is is there anything special about putting HID kits on or is it simple plug and play like it was with my focus?

I went with DDMTUNING.com. Got the slim ballast kit, 35watt 6000k h13 hi/lo, all plug and go. Hardest part was finding grounds and places to mount the ballasts. I only did my head lights.

I love the color of the 6000k, slight blue tint...

My DDM 8000K bi kit has been replaced 3 times now. Perhaps it's a freak problem or third time's a charm? Either way they bounced like crazy. One bulb per set that was sent to me was bad. So we will have to see how it goes.
