Hidden Winch

Default Hidden Winch

Anyone use the warn short drum hidden winch? Is 9000lbs pull enough power

i've wanted one for awhile.you make all sorts of friends when you have a winch. a good rule of thumb is to select a winch with at least 1.5 times the weight of your truck and accessories. so a 9000 should be fine for most duties.

If it isn't enough just run a ****** block and you get twice the pulling power.

good reminder, i forgot about that one. 2x the power and 1/2 the speed. if your stuck any speed is better than none.

yes, but you have to have twice the needed line.

I run a Warn 9500XP on my Xterra for when I go play in the woods. It has a synthetic line on it with a built in Tree Saver. It pulls a lot. I pulled a Loaded 26ft Uhaul out of the mud. It was buried to the rear axle. So you would be amazed what a 9000 will do. I used a straight pull by the way. either way you will have a great time with a winch. I also used mine to do some Landscaping around my house.

Want to talk about getting to a cold beer quicker!!! Just use your winch to get those unsightly trees and bushs out of the yard. Plus you do not sweat that much.
