Default Hidden Keypad?

k so i just bought a used 2008 f150 and i noticed that in the glove box there was a card that had a code for a keypad. However there isn't any keypad under the door handle. Are there any of the f150s with a hidden keypad like the ford flex?and if so how do you activate it?

I have never heard of a hidden keypad on these trucks. Put your vin in the vin decoder on here and see if it's listed as an option. https://www.f150forum.com/f4/get-fre...ticker-124846/
Possible the dealer just took the manual from another vehicle and put it in yours.

Some of the trucks come wit the option to add the keypad under you handle if you want to. To be sure you can pull your back seat out and see if you have the same code on you keyless entry module. Or take the door panel off and see if you have the wiring for it, if you do it should be plug and play.

If you pull the door panel off and look in the door near the handle you'll see a plug for a keypad. After you verify that you have the plug there you can go buy a handle with the keypad and it will be plug and play.

Just went through the same thing on my 08 when i bought it 4 months ago

Was there a card in with your manual? I can see having the wires in the harness and the code on the box behind the seat, but the card in the manual seems odd.

If your VIN says you have the option for the keypad, and you have a code on the keyless entry module, perhaps the door handle was damaged sometime in the past and replaced with one that didn't have the keypad.

There's a sticky post in the Audio subforum on how to remove the back seat. It's not complicated, but it can be difficult to line up the screw driver the right way to disengage the clips.

My company vehicle, an Exploder, has a card with code in the manual. It has never had a keypad.
