Default HID kits

Hey I have an 07 lariat and I am looking to put some HIDs in it. I am thinking a 5000k kit for both the headlights and the fog lights. I need to know what HID kit to get for the fog lights?? I am gonna get a 55 watt kit. Can anybody help me out?

55w HIDs? I sure hope you plan to use projectors.

I was told 55w ballasts will decrease the life of the bulbs faster because of increased heat inside the bulb.

Get 35W it's safer for the factory application.

well if we have a relay running to the battery doesnt that mean that the stock wiring just tells it when to turn on or off?

since mine, Only my passenger side housing is connected to the stock wiring and i have a relay running to the battery and a ground. and to both of the bulbs

35w is what i recommend, 55watt is too bright for my taste and now i am trying to trade it for another retro solutions 35w

Because HIDs glare like crazy in the factory reflector housings which can blind oncoming traffic. Stick to halogen bulbs unless you use proper HID projectors.

What is the difference in the light output between the two. And drawing 55 watts of power is less than the stock 65 watt bulbs. So shouldnt is handle the 55 watt kit??

I had HID kit in factory housing on my 98 f150 and loved them. Did not get flashed very often either.
