HID.. fml
not sure if this has been a topic ever, but just installed new headlights came with hid kit and lamps, its supposed to be low/hi beams, this wasnt a cheap kit either.. head lights come on, but now my fog lights dont work at all, in the cab the indicator still lights up when turned on, but no response.. also the high beam indicator on the dash lights up dim, an once turned on brightens to normal indication, but nothing happens... i looked at the wire diagram a million times, seems basic (im an electrician an know a little about trucks so i can read a diagram).. but confused on if this is a common problem or maybe i have a faulty kit, but ive noticed other questions similar online but none gave a definite answer

The part of the relay harness that plugs into the stock headlight plug needs to be repinned. You need to change the pins around on it, right now they're in the wrong locations, leading to your issues on the heads.
The fogs, I'm not sure. But it could be the same. Since the hi beam indicator is always on, the fogs won't go on.

i was gonna say the harness only clips in one way, but i could always cut and splice an test out whats what.. just was hesitant to go cutting off harnesses, kinda need the truck this weekend
You can take those plugs apart with a paper clip as a poker or sommething else small.
And just move the pins. Common issue for hid kits as different cars may wire an h13 socket differently.
And you say fml over this i put hids in 2 weeks ago and my ratchet fell bumped my radiator and put a hole in it. Now thats a fml moment haha.

I'd recommend you de-pin/cut/splice wires on the HID side of the kit, rather than the factory wiring! This way, you can go back to stock with a simple bulb install.
Never modify factory wiring to work with an aftermarket kit. Modify the kit instead. Maybe you don't care about the next owner. Whenever I buy a used vehicle (and I always do), one of my checklists is to examine as much of the factory wiring as I can for these sort of things.

Just bought a bi xenon hid kit for my 06 ford f150 xlt, when I first hooked it up turned the lights on and worked fine, started the truck and nothing, no power to the headlights. Tried every which possible to hook up kit with and without the code canceler. Still nothing. Now I can't get the lights to come on a all. What's going on, any help will be appreciated, I'm out of ideas.
