Default Help! Socket Stuck On Plug In Cylinder

Hello Everyone,

I'm attempting to change the #7 plug on my 06 F150. I soaked it in PB Blaster for a couple days but I'm assuming that I broke the plug because it just continues to spin in the well. I've ordered the extraction tool and I believe that after watching the youtube video that I should be able to handle the extraction (what did we do before youtube?). Here's my dilemma...The impact socket is very stuck on the plug and I can't get it off for love or money. I've tried heating it, manipulating it, turning it both ways, more Blaster, etc. The plug is still in the head...Anyone ever had this issue and if so, how'd you get the socket off? Thanks for any tips in advance

They make a spark plug socket just for this...but, too late.. long nose pliers and grab it.. you do know most parts stores will rent you an extraction tool..

speaking of only the autozone in Roanoke, TX; they have the extraction tool in 2 versions Lisle version and an OEM one (absolute junk IMO).
the oem version had you glue in a plastic "electrode" into the ceramic, let the glue dry, pull the spark plug out.... Not one plug came out via that way.

I've ordered the Lisle extraction tool. My problem is that the impact socket is stuck on the plug, which is still in the head. Gotta get the socket off the plug before I can extract the plug...

Don't scare me like that! I'm pretty sure that it isn't rounded off because I can turn it with ease and I can tell that it's actually turning....the socket just seems to be absolutely frozen on the plug. I'm going to go and buy a set of those vise grips that kinda look like needlenose and see if I can get a grip on it. Any other ideas would be awesome....thanks, guys

If you broke the plug and the socket and all are turning then you should just be able to get an extension jimmy it down in there click it onto the socket and pull everything out, but if I read it properly you used an impact socket? I'm assuming you used it on the rest as well?
