Try disconnecting the ground also to return the truck wiring completely back to how it was before you hooked it up. Then it might be time to pull literally every fuse and check very closely. If all the fuses are good, not just the ones pertaining to the dash items then it might be time to check all the wiring in any areas you were working (dash, doors, ect)
Maybe not much help since you have an 08 . Diagram is clear as mud I can't really tell how this cigar lighter gets its power .
I don't know anything about this pulse with module with the power out .
Maybe you burnt the ground circuit out ,see if a voltmeter from negative battery terminal to grd point shows any difference in volts . Go directly to battery . If you think there is a problem lift battery negative lead ond ohm between the two points it should be zero. You could run a temp heavy ground wire to that point from the battery to see if you can get stuff working . But most likely you either created a lose or open connection or blew some fuses , Test them all .
I can usually read elect schematics but this one has me fooled theres something I'm missing .
Only one wire was hot so I spliced into that one. Lighter still works. Windows work. Truck runs fine. Odometer shows mileage when I open the driver door rhen disappears. Everything works fine except for the cluster and a/c compressor. I'm going to run out and buy a set of fuses tomorrow and test them all and replace as necessary. Do you know which fuse is for the TCS? Can't find it in the manual.
I went fuse by fuse checking the ones that did not light up. I knew that meter I bought a couple of years ago would come in handy. Anyway, the fuse that controls the overdrive /cluster was the culprit. I'll admit i didn't check it before because my truck has a manual transmission.
