Default Help with Add A Leaf

Hey guys, just installed my new Fabtech lift kit on my 2008 F150 2wd. It looks great. I want to put some AAL on so that I can lift the rear about 2", that way it will look more leveled. Can anyone kindly reply with a link to the AAL I need for my truck that will add 2"? The AAL from SD Springs look great, but doesn't specify the amount of "lift", just the "load". All input is greatly appreciated!

You may not get much lift, other than the thickness of the leaf and the rear will ride substantially stiffer. There are better ways to lift the rear.

Something like this would be a better option, lift shackles:

Or some stock 4WD blocks would work perfect.

I was told that my shackles were "inverted", will the shackles on the link u sent me work with my truck? Also, do those maxtrac shackles bolt on to my factory shackles?

Has anybody actually used those shackles yet? What are the pros and cons of them. I'm looking to get a little bit of lift out of my worn leafs, and that looks super easy.

These take the place of your factory shackles.

Our shackles face up so these are shorter than factory ones which is what gives you the lift.

Thanks dirttracker, that's exactly what I needed to know...I was curious how they would work. So I'm guessing the universal "lift" shackles won't work, only the Maxtrac?

I am not advocating that brand. Just using it as an example.

Correct that the universal shackles will not work.

Ok thanks man, that cleared up a lot of confusion for me. One last question and I'm gonna post some pics of my Fabtech lift...it says 1/2"-2" lift, is there anyone who carries a 3" lift shackle? I'm asking bc my front is leveled, so the front sits about 3" higher than the rear and I want some "rake" back in the truck

Not that I am aware of, not enough shackle left to do that.

The other option is a set of blocks from a 4x4 as noted by techrep.
