Default Help! 2.5" Leveling Kit Install Problems

Today I attempted to install my rough country leveling kit. Everything went smoothly until reinstalling the struts. The first problem I encountered was having to turn the strut 180 degrees to get the bolts to line up with the holes in the frame. The second problem I have is the strut seems to be angeled outward towards the tire thus making it almost impossible for me to get the strut all the way in place (I even tried using a compression tool).

Any help, ideas, or solutions would be greatly appreciated. I will try to include some pictures in the morning to help describing my problem.

The spacers are identical. I will double check but I am almost positive they are not side specific.

They should be identical...IDK why they wouldn't be..are you sure they gave you the right year's kit?

The Rough Country leveling kit is different than mine which is the HBS, but essentially the same. Just take the handle end of a hammer or something and hit it in, not too hard. If you can get someone to help get them to push on the struts or whatever works.

The box says 04-08 F150 so I am assuming these are the correct spacers. Everything lines up, It's just the struts have to go in backwards and don't really fit this way

Hmm...it's been said that 3" kits can cause these problems but when it's all wedged (hammered) together the truck will correct itself when put on the ground...Never heard of these problems from a 2.5" kit..let me do some more research.
