Default Heater Help

I have an 04 F150 and can only use the #4 position on the control switch for the fan control? Auto Zone said it was the blower resistor switch for the blower motor??? Doesn't seem right to me since I still have one position on the control that works? Does anyone know what I might need??

Thanks.

Its the blower motor resistor that is exactly what happens when the resistor goes out. There is no doubt in mind mind! Its pretty cheap too.....I work at NAPA and its $24 at my store.

Yes it is the resistor. Setting 4 gets power straight from the battery.

If it isn't working on 4 its probably a wiring prom from the battery to the blower. If its not working on 3 or 4 then it could be the rheostat/resistor or the swith or a wiring problem.

its not hard to install the resistor. It's in/behind your glove box. 2 screws and a connector. Done in 15 minutes.
