Default Headlight sensor switch upgrade

Hi all, Have a 2008 f150 STX. One of the lights went out on my Headlight switch. Got a new switch and it has the Auto light option on it. I would like to but a Light sensor switch in and would like to know where it go's. Has anyone done this?

Thanks.
Anthony

There will be a harness under your dash where the sensor will plug in. On the 2009 and newer trucks, it's in front of the tray on the dash. I'm not exactly sure if it's in the same place with the 04-08's. Auto headlights will be plug and play on your truck once you get the sensor installed.

You all ready have the sun load sensor on your truck. See that blinking red light on the dash on the drive side... thats it.

Ya I know. I originally did NOT have the AUTO option on my Headlight switch. I changed it with a New one WITH the AUTO option. I do have the security dome with the blinking Red light but it still does not work. I must need a wire Harness or something that needs to be connected.
Anyone?????

Its a setting that is probably not turned on in the vsm. All the switch does is tell the truck that you want the lights to be auto. The vsm does all the work
