Default Headlight question!

Okay I'm wanting to paint the inside chrome area of my headlights black and I've seen it done before but how do you take the front plastic cover off

If you can spare a $100 bucks there are many beautiful Harley style headlights out there. Might save you a headache. Just a thought.

Yea I would just get a new set, it'd be way easier and look cleaner and wouldn't risk them leaking after you seal them back. Check eBay, some are relatively cheap on there

just make sure that if you are to put it on a cookie sheet, put some wood underneath the light where its going to touch so that it doesnt melt.

I did it with a heat gun... It was much easier then the oven method I tried first...it took about 20 minutes a light to split em apart. The key to the heat gun method is strapping down the light with zip ties to a chair or a milk crate. This keeps the light body stable when you gently pry the lens off.
