A single 3" would be ok with Mandrel bends. It will not leave you much room to grow however. Only supports about 339hp. You have 300hp from the factory. Heres a link http://www.exhaustvideos.com/faq/how...pipe-diameter/

Oh ok. Well becareful with that. As you will read in the link and other articles you can rob yourself of power and torque by running to large a pipe. With exhaust you will find it's better to be a tad small then a tad big. You put to large a pipe on and she will fall on her face. I'm making right at 500rwhp and 650+ hp at the flywheel running 2.5" duals. I really need to up to 2.75" or 3". All things in due time.

Ok I guess in my head I'm figuring that if I'm runnin 2 3in pipes it would flow the same as one 6in pipe. I could be wrong and most likely am.

Yes. Heres an example that will make it easy to picture. Make 6" circle on a sheet of paper. Now make 2 seperate 3" circles. Place them both in the 6" circle. Lots of room to spare. In fact a 6" pipe can flow as much as 4 individual 3" pipes.

Using the chart from the link you can really appreciate the flow differences when doubling a pipes size. A 1.5" pipe has a flow area of 1.48 or 171cfm's while a 3" pipe has a flow area of 6.49 or 747cfm's. Doubling the size of the pipe more than quadrupled the flow area and the cfm flow rate.

I got a MBRP exhaust, 4" is what it is, mandrel bent. I want to keep single exhaust, looking at your link looks like I get to do this!
