Default Headers & high flow cats?

Hey guys...

Looking for a spring time project for the truck and I think I'd like to do headers.

Been doing a lot of searching but not finding the answer to my q. I'm looking at doing the pace setters and want to do high flow cats. I've not come across a thread where someone has done this application.

I know the pace setters are steel, and that isn't going to matter since I work for a coating company and can have these coated inside and outside

I guess what I need to know is if I weld the high flow cats direct to the headers, is there room for an exhaust shop to work their magic under there? I'd like to do duals down the pass side and exit before the rear tire. I'll also need to drive it to the shop on headers/cats.

From my searching, it appears I may need to extend the o2's, this wasn't clear as it seemed to depend on application?

Any help would be appreciated.

Let me see if I have any good pics. Should have plenty of room for what you want to do. You will have to extend the O2 plugs. You can buy the plug extensions from Dynatech. Makes life easy and they aren't expensive.

Cool. I'm just not sure what to expect with the long tubes. Waiting to find out what my bonus is going to be.

Big bonus=blower. Small bonus=LSD/Gears/Headers/exhaust.

Ok for the cats you will want Magnaflow 94005 is for 2.25" and 94006 is the 2.5". These are the ones that Dynatech uses and they fit on each side of the trans.

I do. 788-84220.
Comes with this note:
Locate two of the O2 sensor extension cables. Use these extensions to
plug into the front and rear O2 sensor connectors on the left (driver) side
in the vehicle wiring harness.

Note: The “keeper clip” on the round portion of the cable extension where it
plugs into the mating part in the wiring harness serves to locate/index the
wiring to the O2 sensor. The small tabs placed around the outside of the
connector barrel may or may not need to be ground or cut off. The OEM
manufacturer may use a slightly different connector as far as these additional
keys are concerned but have no bearing on how the connectors go together
because of the “keeper clip”

All this means is you end up shaving off one or two of the alignment tabs.

No not one of each. I'm sorry I should have added the sizes. I went back and added them to my post. Magnaflow 94005 is the 2.25" inlet/outlet and 94006 is the 2.5"inlet/outlet.

The harness may fit I don't know but these are cheaper and I can say for sure they work.
