Hey guys i was thinking about putting new headers on an 05 FX4. Whats the difference between long and short tube headers. Any big difference in power gains, fuel milage, or sound?

Yes.

Short tubes are a waste of money for anything but looks, the flow improvement over stock manifold is very minimal and simply not worth the $.

If you want headers, get Long tubes.

Pacesetter makes good one's and the price isn't too bad either. You will need a custom tune for long tubes though.

The long tube headers will give you alot more low end torque too.

again, shortys are a waste of money. long tubes are harder to install and installation may cost a little bit more, but if you wanna waste money, PM me and i'll give you my address to send the check to.

Dynatech headers are long tubes, 304 and they pretty much bolt right in! I love them! But your wallet will be very light!
