My old place was full of Hack Berry Trees, giant ones. Twice had my wiper blades rip off and stick to the windshield after sitting for 2 days.

Fortunately, that sap washed off with ease.

Try a carwash with hot water, Use the tire and engine cleaner on just that spot, (wash the brush first......always) then hit with foam brush, pressure wash some more........hell, I give up.

Dish soap is often uses when washing to strip off paint and wax. Some frown on its use for washing as it strips everything off and leaves nothing behind, hence "dull". It is not a wash and shine soap like you would typically find in the car wash aisle. Some purist get excited about the PH, but this day in age I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure to put a wax or sealer on when done. A bug and tar remover will also remove your wax/sealer as well.

Would not use the turtle wax "glass" wax, get something more robust and worth the effort. I apply wax once a year and makes washing a breeze. These cheap products break down and overall do not last. The more you need to touch the paint, the more risk in scratching it.

Otherwise there's stuff called sem solve that will work even better on sap, tar, stickers, graffiti. Sadly, both options do require you recoat with wax.

Wow, Thanks guys! I know that a lot of you here really take care of your trucks, and knew you would would have some good advice. I know it isn't going to be a cake walk, it's gonna take time, and lots of scrubbing. When it comes to car wash soap and wax I don't cheap out. I waxed my wifes car on Sunday. She never claims to notice a difference, and says it takes too much time, and that I don't have to do it (In the 10 years we have been together she has never checked her oil, nor washed, let alone waxed her own car). Her car is a Dodge, in Flint grey, and man it looks good clean and shined up. My truck has been parked out of the garage for about a year now. It is Dark Toreador red. The sap blend in pretty well. I ran my hand over my clean fender the other day and WOW, it has sap all over it. At least from the windshield to the front of the truck. So only the hood, fenders and part of the roof of the truck. I'll post some progress photos when I get around to it. I'll be in the mountains next week, so the following weekend I'll get to it.
