Default Grille Question ?

Does anyone know if you can buy the GRILLE TRIM RING separately from the grille? I am rebuilding a 08' SuperCab and that was a broken piece. I am looking to put a Saleen Front Upper Grill, but it requires you to reuse the trim ring... I could care less it it has to be painted, because it's gonna get painted black anyway...

Thanks

I would try a Ford dealer. I haven't seen just that piece for sale but they may be able to find one for you. Another option could be a junk yard but that might be difficult... I had to buy a replacement fog light and was surprised that my local Ford dealer was the cheapest so I would check there first. Good luck!

You cant get anything besides the whole assembly. I just ordered a complete grill assembly from www.rockauto.com It was $65+shipping. The brand is Sherman and its for a STX/FX4 but you will lose the insert anyway going with the saleen grill. The fitment is quite good for the price, its not quite as perfect as factory but you will never notice the difference. Heres mine:

I had the standard mesh style grill that came on my 06 S Crew, thought it looked a little sissy, so I called a local place called Body Parts Of America in Pensacola florida, got a 3 Bar chrome style for $52.00, its oem fit but made by aftermarket body parts company. I love it

I was looking at your grill and the trim ring is white... was it paintable?
and how hard is it to detach from your grille?

It is paintable, it actually comes primed. When it came the center grill insert was pretty much already detached, you just have to pop the tabs that attach the grill insert to the surround.
