Default Gotts Mod Installed!

I had some time today, so I did the Gott's Mod on the air intake with my drop in K&N you can really feel the truck pulling alot harder. Has anyone else done this and what was your thoughts on the results?

My truck's the same as yours, gotts with the k&n dropin. The gotts made a good difference, and no bad things yet. The k&n drop in did nothing noticable, I realy can't tell the difference between it and a paper filter. I just don't need to mess with it for a long time with the k&n.

Default Gotts Mod Re-worked

I reworked my Gotts Mod. I grinded down a little more of the 3 inch tube going into the fenderwall, put a couple pieces of duct tape around the end, to keep from the pvc from rubbing and squeaking against the fenderwall, then shortened the other end about 1 inch.

Works great now and no squeaking! Sure beats wasting money on a CAI for the same results. Its not like you are adding a lot of hp with with the Gotts or CAI but the throttle response seems alot better. I would rather spend my money on the cheaper of the two! Can't wait to get my Edge Evo put on tomorrow!

Then possibly a flex-a-lite efan next.

I used a 3" threaded! i just used a hammer to knock the threads into the fender well and it works great i work in the oil field so I'm on gravel roads all the time beating my truck up and I have not once noticed a squeak
