Angry getting annoyed

Ok I have a 2008 F150 SCREW FX4 and I have couple things that a bother me. First for some reason my driver's seat makes a sqeaking noise when I hit a bump, does any body know what this could be? Another problem I am having is the compass in the truck keeps telling me to CALIBRATE it, any ideas?

I cant stand the noise anymore, and it really p***ing me off. I mean come on this is a brand new truck!

seriuosly though, consult you owners manual for instructions on the compass, it should tell you everything you need to know.

ummm, lets just solve this the easy way...

1. its a brand new truck
2. meaning it has a warranty
3. drive it to the dealership
4. they fix it
5. drive it home with it all fixed up
6. go get yourself cold beer, wash the truck, then take wifey to the bedroom.

7. and most of all... remember, you own the greatest truck ever built... nothing is perfect, but hell the F-150 is damn close!

I purchased an aftermarket rear view mirror with a built in compass, as the STX models do not have the dash compass feature; I'm not a big fan of having the compass readout in the dash anyhow, as it forces you to take your eyes off of the road to read it; better in the rear view mirror IMO.

Anyhow, to calibrate, I first had to select the correct ZONE. There are 8 or 9 compass zones, and I had to select the zone based upon my current location. Check your owners manual to see if you need to do this BEFORE you do the "drive in a circle" proceedure.

As to the seat squeak, since it is under warantee, I too would take it to the dealer. Otherwise I'd be removing the seat to check the seat cushion springs for binding. Let Ford do that; they will replace the seat if they cannot find the source of the squeak and fix it. If you tamper with it, they may claim the warantee is void, so don't take any risks; let the dealership handle this and any other issues while you have the "freebee" warantee.

Or, lets figure out a way to get me to Hawaii. I want to visit that island state big time!

Yea, I have a Garmin GPS as well, but like the compass when I leave the GPS at home. Sometimes the wench drives me nuts telling me where to go.

I have to keep my Garmin all the time. I have it set to use the woman's voice. I feel more comfortable having a woman tell me where to go all the time... just like when the wife is with me. haha!
