My compass kept showing CAL too. It would reset if I drove in circles or just drove for a while. Took it in and they reset the zone. It still read CAL a couple of times a week so they changed the mirror, which has the sensor in it. No problems since ( a couple of weeks).

I have mine set to the womens voice too but I'm not quite sure why cause I listen to that as well as I listen to my wife give me directions and that is not to often LOL that might explain why I got lost the first time I used it
