04 f150 getting 9 miles to the gallon. what can cause this the check engine light is on.

 

How many miles? Last time a tune-up was done? What is the code?
Need a brief history. A lot of variables can cause low fuel mileage

 

I had my mechanic put a brand new motor in it. Um before I was getting 13 miles to the gallon. But when I got my truck back the check engine light was on. He wouldn't fix it so I just took it. I don't know the codes I need to find that out. It has the new block he just put everything else on it from the other block.

 

Pull the code. That'll give a baseline as to what it could be. Any strange symptoms, truck doing anything weird?
I would've slapped him around until he fixed it though...

 

Sometimes it takes awhile to pick up. But it's rare it doesn't happen often. Yeah I was pretty pissed but this guy didn't even know English and it took him about 3 weeks before he even finished the truck. I wasn't gonna wait even longer for this guy to fix something else he said it would be done in 4 days it took him 3weeks 😅

 

This CEL, is it a constant? Or does it flash? Even if it doesn't show up, it should be stored

 

Not to question your judgement, but why did you take it to him in the first place?

 

hate these stories... drive by auto zone or advanced auto...they will read the DTC for free.

 

It was my friends dad thought he was gonna do good. But he didn't . The codes are p2004, p2197, po325, p0152, p0059, p2006

 

I would double check all the electrical connection and vacuum lines
